Role Overview:
FirstIgnite is seeking a highly motivated Summer Intern to support our venture capital fundraising, university sales, and marketing initiatives. You’ll work directly with our leadership team to identify and engage with potential investors, grow relationships with university partners, and help market our brand and products to a national audience.

Responsibilities:
Venture Capital Fundraising

• Research and map seed and Series A venture capital firms aligned with FirstIgnite’s mission

• Support outreach campaigns and investor communications

• Help develop pitch materials and assist with investor due diligence

University Sales

• Assist in identifying prospective university customers and decision-makers

• Support outbound outreach to universities and track engagement metrics

• Contribute to sales collateral creation and CRM data entry

Marketing

• Help execute multi-channel marketing campaigns (email, social, content)

• Research thought leadership topics and draft posts, newsletters, and case studies

• Analyze marketing data and make recommendations to optimize strategy

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree (Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred)

• Strong research, writing, and communication skills

• Interest in startups, venture capital, and/or higher education innovation

• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects

• Experience with LinkedIn, HubSpot, Canva, or Notion is a plus
